Thanks Pash I,ll order a helicoil kit and throw the torque wrench in the bin. |

The wrench should be alright it,s a new britool.I,ve been servicing vehicles and machines for thirty odd years and never stripped a thread before and never had one come loose,so i think i,ll stick to doing it free hand. |

A lot of the torque values for small fasteners in the Manual seem excessively high. Unless it's engine internals, or something very important like wheels + brakes, then a calibrated arm can sometimes be your best friend |
