Saw some ref to Guzzi Griso on the forum a little while ago,and I said I have owned an 1100 a couple of yrs ago,It was a good bike with lots of charisma, but the 1200 would be better. Hope Im right cos I have just traded in my speed triple for one . God save us from impulses.Big twins rule.ok.

I originally started The thread about a griso as a second bike , and bought a 06 1100 griso and toured the french alps in july.have decided to sell it and i'm looking for a Triumph sprint st1050 or honda blackbird purely as i need some luggage space for the up coming Pecos mountains in spain in 2013

1200 Griso has a bit more power than the 1100 from 5 or 6 thousand revs upwards, apparently , but the 1100 has a bit more grunt at lower revs . Had my 1100 for nearly a year and it's a good second bike . Only criticism is the low gearing, which you get used to after a while. Loads more character than a speed triple IMO , having had two triumphs .

well i will say that the griso is low geared compared to the X1 ,but is ultra smooth and has lots of low down grunt and coped really well in the alps and averaged almost 50 mpg and never missed a single beat in 2000mls....

Did 1200 miles round Scotland over a long weekend on mine, in May, only prob i had was a battery lead that came loose , which was down to me pratting about connecting a sat nav lead . Have Guzzi's small fly screen on mine , which is pretty good at keeping wind blast off the chest on a long run, but doesn't spoil the bike's look .

A Multistrada eh. Now I like Ducatis, having owned a couple ( the last one being an s4rs monster) But I dont like 850mm seat height ,nor the style. However, thats the good thing about biking: there is something for everyone.

A Multistrada, not a jammy dodger.
