Good Afternoon

Nearly ready to go and pick up my 06 xb9sx from the dealers, they said they could fit me a Datatool System 4 Red and Datatag for £350. I manage to find a better deal somewhere else. However i phoned them back and in fairness they said they would match the price. I told them to go for it and fit it for me.

However i've just had a call back saying that the mechanics have just had a look and can't find anyroom for them to fit it!!!!!!

Is this A) Bull Droppings.

B) Incompetence

C) True

Any owners out there with a system 4 fitted please please please let me know where you managed to have the unit fitted on your bike. I may tell them where i would like them to fit it altogether........

...or

D) A lucky escape.

More than 10% of the value of your bike to install something that will break, will leave you stranded, will run down your battery and will probably save you £15 a year on insurance costs.

Wipe your brow and be grateful for your good fortune, IMO. 8-)

Absolutely and totally agree with Normie. :yt:

Bike alarms are a bloody pain at best, and a battery-raping, voltage-grabbing, ferry-embarrassing, petrol forecourt-irritant to boot.

Buy a disc lock if you must.

Alarms and Buells are a very bad combo. You've had a lucky escape :D

I must agree with the others alarms can cause all sorts of problems with your electrical system, and would you trust your reliability to something non-standard, But if your going to fit it , it will fit under the seat on its side next to or under the shock resevoir a lot of hassle that could prove troublesome.....

Bless you all my children.

Your advice has been listened to, and as a follower of the faith i trust your judgement. If they steal it may they be smitted by the allmighty smiter.

I do wish people would stop agreeing with me in the tech forum. It makes me nervous.

Never fear, Norm, whenever I post in the tech forum, it's because I hadn't realised I'd strayed in. :?

I wish to retract my statement as I hadn't realised I'd agreed with Norm. Can't let that stand as he is a fuckwit :D
