Looking at buying a left side air scoop for XB...

I know trojan horse sell em and was looking for an 'original part' looking item.

Anyone bought any in the past or know of body work thats a bit different..? Ideally I want the left and right sides to look the same other wise it messes with me mojo...

Left side?
The side that already has one?

You can get the large Buell RHS one, it matches the LHS

mine was about 65 squid from HD; visually its a pretty good match for the lhs ( although not a perfect match ).

Right update for the scoop situation...

Turned out the bargain part was £25 but there was another part I needed also which turned out to be about £45.

Parts arrived yesterday and could see an issue straight away. After a quick check it was confirmed, HD actually sent me a new left sided scoop.

Plan, will be sending it back in the next few few days, ordering the Uly comfort kit for which I have tracked down the parts numbers and if that goes to rat shit too or I just don't like it I;ll send them back and buy a fibre glass one from T H.

They do sell some cool smaller square looking ones too but wont fit on mine due to the pipes... ARSE...

Other than that got my grease nipple do da to fit from Maz and also my F/S/T (black) arrived today so that'll be going on too. Got some plans for my new body work and some ideas around new light set up / colours etc which will happen around autumn time when the bike gets a complete tear down.

Its on..!

If you're ordering parts from a H-D dealer, you need to use either Dave at Mcr.H-D or BB

I've a comfort kit on my XB12XT, fitted from new by HD and the RHS scoop is a small kind of squarish thing...looks nothing like the LHS scoop.

I've a free spirits one to fit but to be honest fitting it looks like a royal pita.....looks as if I have to mark it then drill it then some how secure it using dwarfish fingers and tools....needless to say havent fitted it yet !!!

Eric.
