Hi my bike arrives on Friday and its not got the cover on the tank (but does come with it) previous owner preferred it that way!. Does any one else run their lightning with out it, and apart from the damage aspect will it do any harm? |

Before the hordes decend from the hills and pilage me can anyone tell me if they have successfully painted the tank or is it likely to blister? |

The cover on a X1 tank won't blister and can be painted successfully. |

I had a custom paint job done on mine about 8 years ago and never had a problem
