Hi Chaps,
Collected my lovely red 59 plate 1125 R today, rode it home, spent an hour taking off all the stickers and Stars & Stripes tank protectors that the previous owner has stuck on, also took the rear foot pegs off.

2 questions...
The Buell logo on the tank, seems to be made of thick plastic and stuck on, is that the original or it that something from the previous owner too?
On the LHS rear footpeg, there's a breather pipe running down the inside, what's it from and where would be a good place to re-route it ?
Cheers!
N.

Sounds like it could be the standard decals ........ the vent hose is from the Fuel tank and will at times dribble a bit of petrol in hot weather ...so make sure you don't kink it and that it exits out of harms way ;)

Tank / airbox cover logo can be removed too, easier to do off bike, with some heat applied to the reverse side, I used a hairdryer, and some white spirit to get the last of the glue off.

You can then replace them with something less plasticy, like wot I did...

:D

Fuel breather pipe eh, guess I'll cable tie it off somewhere safe.
Don't like my Buell tank graphics, look really cheap!

Looks like we're getting more liberal around here. Do you think I'd get away with this one :?:
