I brought my spare brand new stator with me today ....looks like the crrent one wouldn't have lasted much longer, very very dark and crispy in one area .... This one should last longer with it's new oil cooling spray

What makes the oil flow through the hole then? Centripetal force? Will any fresh oil coming in be much cooler?

Sounds like a stab in the dark as a solution for a woefully undersized stator.

What gets me is why in this day/age anyone would design an electrical system that is so woefully inadequate in the first place..

The engine oil will always be at a cooler temp than the failure temp of the stator coil insulation ....all the stators fail in the area basically that sits at the top ,the area least likely to get any oil spray from the original setup .
The crank spline already has a pressurised oilway that lines up with the master spline of the rotor the rotor mod is just a very small oil hole through the rotor that lines up with this to continually spray oil around the complete stator taking the electrically generated heat away with the oil.
Oil sprays are a well known way of cooling electrical windings ;)

How much oil will go through the hole when the rotor is rotating?

Hope it fixes it for you though ;)

So seeing as the greatest load on the charging circuit will be after starting , will the modified rotor now act as a heater to help warm the oil up before riding off :D
