I'm getting a couple of drops a day coming out between the black plastic casing and the metal screwy in thing on the primary, when parked on the sidestand. Is this because... a) It's supposed to be sealed, but the seal is knackered. b) My primary oil level is a bit too high and there isn't a seal. c) My sidestand is a bit worn and leaning too far over, and there isn't a seal. I have a new cable ready to go, but I don't want to replace it just yet if the reason is b or c. According to Pash, my bike is an XB12S ![]() |

Is it a Teflon Lined Cable? If so wont the lining expand from the oil seepage and cause binding? ![]() |

I'll get some heat shrink next time in the UK then. That's one thing I haven't found over here yet. (The first place I found Loctite over here was in the stationery section of a supermarket, between the Pritt sticks and the Post-It pads ![]() |

The cables aren't supposed to be full of oil? Mine was cracked and leaking in the same spot. I wrapped it in teflon plumbers tape, then wrapped that in black electrical tape. Not a drop in months. |
