Current ride: XB12X Ulysses
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire.
I'm no shorty at 6ft, but still found that the Ulysses tall riding position can catch me out in tight places, mainly due to the lack of steering lock. Anyway, a friend who is building a special XB sold me his surplus forks and monoshock off his stripped down XB12STT Lightning, and I've fitted these to my Uly. These units are getting on for 2 inches shorter than the originals.
Apart from needing to shorten the sidestand, can anyone see any pitfalls with this set up?
