plugs and valve clearances on a 1125 shouldn't be that different than the same procedure on a rsv, just tell them not to tighten anything that doesn't take a metric spanner up too tight!

1125's are all metric......and being vaguely familiar with the engine doesn't mean they'll know how to get it out of the frame for access

If you want the job doing properly, you have two choices. Maz or BlackBear (but not on a Monday ;) lOl )

Remember I have told you this lOl

I'm sure there are more than 2 choices and more than 2 people capable of working on Buells, if you look at his site and phone I am sure he we tell you if he is up to it, what is the cost of a phone call :)

There’s probably lots of people who think they are capable of working on Buell’s, just depends if they know what they are supposed to be doing and have the necessary tools ,equipment and expertise to do it properly
The likes of Maz , Blackbear or Tubbs have grown up with Buell’s know them inside out :worthy: and have proven over many years to their loyal customers to be the first port of call for a quality no bull repair or service or even some advice . :yup:

AS Mr Meanwell has pointed out, the Rotax engined Buells are completely different beasts. Personally I would be reluctant to trust anybody who had only worked on air cooled Harley lumps previously.

If you must use a Harley "specialist", at a minimum ask if they have worked on V Rods, at least they will have a better idea of what to expect as both types of engines need valve shimming ...

Hi I said Harley/buell specialist and you obviously haven't bothered going to link I posted for his website, where it clearly says,

Maulden Motorcycle Repair build race motorcycles for Flat Track racing. We will prepare any aspect of your Flat Track race bike, from DTX based ShortTrackers to framers or ROTAX and road based ThunderBikes.

I am just trying to help someone out but giving them another person to use nearer to them :)
