Did a search on this but couldn't find a thread. What's the general consensus please? Mine is an o6, first registered in Feb 08 and it has 19400 miles showing. Oil changes every 2500 miles. So far so good but...?

I seem to recall somebody on BWB posting about a high mileage Uly ...

... and of course our own Raiderfan had a Uly that he rode the length of the American continent, although I don't think that he posts here anymore.

Nobby who worked here had Raiderfan's XB12X. Took it to over 50,000 miles when he replaced the steering head bearings then sold it shortly afterwards. Never had any mechanical issues. My 06 Uly is currently just short of 30k and has had no mechanical issues although it has broken a couple of belts.

2.5k miles on a XB12. Con rod broke and piston jammed between flywheels  - still under Warranty

Erik built me a new motor the following day and airmailed it my local Dealer the day after that. The Dealer then 'lost' this motor and we had to start this Panto all over again :x

Thanks. I have no intention of ever selling. The Ulysses rarely ventures out of the Algarve. Portuguese people often try and buy it off me and so many seem to think it is a KTM!!

by the way nick, are you going to Faro this July ?

we can admire each others Uly down there ( if they are both still running ): a bunch of people from here have rented a villa just outside the site for the week so we can get some sleep & have clean bogs / pool / showers / kitchen etc.

( at least thats the plan , the last villa we lined up to rent fell thru when the owner went and died on us )

I think I will. I live in Lagos. Pop over from Spain any time you want to. I have a garage under the condo block. Where in Spain are you?
