Have some troubles with an xb9r-03 that died mid ride and wont start and my question is under "toggle trouble codes" in diagnostiks under number 4 theres a box with "cam positon...something or other" that's not ticked in...is this normal or could that be part of my starting problem

Cam Sync Failure unticked is normal.

These are the diagnostic tests carried out by the ECM. They wont affect the running of your bike. If unticked, they will not report the fault and the CEL will not be illuminated.

yupp...realized that when I was pulling the shifter off....too many day's att work+not enough sleep=idiot!!

....but when I did manage too figure that out ...I noticed that 5 appeared and no 0..no matter how much i spun the back whell in 5th..and yes the bike had contact with the computer :P :headbang: ...could I be looking at a faulty cam position sensor and would that make the bike die in mid ride??

Thanks/

Michael

Did you hear the fuel pump running? On, then off, then on, then off? How many times did you rotate the back wheel fully?

No sir...did the first time I tried about a week ago but now nothing....fuel pump only runs when I turn it on or between starts. and I rotated it a quite a bit...

rotor cups not moving att all (and it´s properly fastned)......that could explain the 5!!
