Got an x1 and love it . If I were interested in nice xb 12 circa 5k, to add to stable, what is best to look out for.??I dont know a great deal about xbs , but being a short arse a scg model would be good, but they seem very rare. What is the dif between thunderstorm engine and earlier one. would appreciate views . I darnt ask MAZ for fear of excommunication or worse.

I would look at the xb9 in the for sale section if I where you, it only has 400 miles on it and the 9 is the most fun, IMO.

And that one is lovely.

I had an scg with some mods. Personally loved it and regret having to have sold it. New house forced my hand tho.

Go for it david. Having one of each i can definatly recommend an xbs and what Andy said, have a look at that 9 for sale here. They hit the apex of a corner easier than a tuber due to having a wheel base of a bmx. Oh and the rear plug is a ball ache to change but not impossible. I wouldn't get rid of either :yup: :yup:

My current fave is an 06 XB9SX with an XB12R muffler....cos I've got one! ;)

......but I would also love to have an 07 XB12Scg or XB12S. Scg is a funny one as it's often overlooked for having an amazing rate of roll as to an S's amazing rate of turn....need to try? 8-)

interesting question: having only just added an X1 to my stable i'm coming at it from the opposite direction ( ooh er missus ).

t.b.h. if u can manage a normal height XB then i would suggest u try a Uly XT for something different: i dont think you will find an XB copy of what u already have will make u smile any more; its quite nice to have a choice of practicality / comfort available when u need it.

Stick with the tubers I have just got a M2 to go with my X1 and love it, just sold a S3T and wish I hadn't. XB's have no character they all look the same, stick with a real Buell

If you are a bit on the short size which you said you are, don't even think about this option, there is nothing similar about the size of a uly and the size of an sx whatsoever.
Buy a little un, it would be more fun.
