HI can any body be kind enough tell me how to tell the difference between an 07 and 08 xb12scg . Now i no this sounds dumb but mine has 07 on frame and 08 reg . when people refer to 08 bike for ie resting tps and so on is it reg or frame number ? please help thankyou

The tenth digit of the VIN stamped on the frame is the model year - it will be 7 for 2007 or 8 for 2008.

Thank you all for your help now i have looked on my frame and it said date manufactured JUL 07 AND the tenth letter of the chassis no is 8 and reg is 08 (confused still ) any feed back please.

It's a 2008 model built in July 2007 - most manufacturers will start building next years bikes in the previous year.

No..................an '07 bike manufactured in '07 :idea:
may have left the factory in 08

Just trying to point out that there are major differences between 07 and 08 engines :coat:
