My 2002 XB9R seems to have NO engine braking whatsoever. It's not the clutch as it still pulls like a train, has a nice steady idle and no misfire. Riding in traffic has become a matter of using the throttle or the front brake more than usual. Does any one have some idea or have had this happen with theirs? |

Starts and idles just fine and rides normally. It just takes a long time to slow down when riding with a closed throttle. |

I would first check all sensors for correct values, throttle butterfly for free movement, throttle valve shaft and intake manifold for air leaks, then, if no error is found, I would proceed with this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=13802 using a very low (~30-40%) deceleration correction. |
