Do you ride fast? In the rain? Do you mind replacing them every 2000 miles?
So many choices...........

I ride in all weather's unless there's snow or ice ! My plan is to sell my s1 when restored and just want to put on a all round tyre for the average rider

Yes, all round tyres will be best, you'll get a lot of vibe and noise off the others... ;)

In my opinion Michelin P2 or P3's are the dog's danglies

I now run bridgestone 023's on the X1 and the 1125 .............. great tyres and very long lasting 8-)

I concur sir

For the uninitiated, Michelin Pilot Road 2 or 3. The 3 is later spec and triple compound (I think).....

Not user them myself on the s1 but the michelin pilot road 3's are very well respected amongst my fireblade friends who ride through the winter. ;)
They last well so would cope well with the s1 torque , I've seen knee down action in the wet with them (on the blade) and they go well in the dry, so a great all rounder. Will probably try them next on s1.
Biggest prob with the s1 is its savage torque any tyre thats vaguely soft and grippy is shredded in no time if you ride hard.
Trackday / hypersport road tyres dunlop gp 211 / pirelli super corsas, last longer on my 180+ bhp superstock blade than conti road attack 2 / bridge stone s20 / pirelli diblos on the s1
Kevs suggestion bt023 is also worth considering as he does a lot of miles in all weathers. ;)

Got the contiroadattack 2 on the S1W but run dunlop qualifiers on the xb12. Love the feel of the qualifiers so much a pair are going on the S1 next. And they're a good price for a pair on't tinterweb :yup:

Ran maxxis diamond good all rounder get hot quick and good in the wet, not long lasting and price gone up so going for michelin pilot road 2 this time dual compound. 3's has had loads of trouble with them shredding in the states.
