Hello all I have a 2005 xb12r that i have done over 14,000 miles on and really enjoy but would like to change the riding position to a more S like stance. Any one done this? I don't really want to end up with Helibars and the fairing - sounds like the fairing and bars will look out of sync with each other ? Also don't want to end up with some sh1t street fighter aborshun... yep i know sell it and by an S - we have a history together and i'd like it to continue. Regards Steve |

So far so good then, what about a lightening headlight setup to replace the fairing. Or has any seen a decent non buell headlight setup? thanks |

I think the biggest problem is relocating all the gubbins that is located in the fairing ...... I believe the bolt has the ecu etc in the fairing and the s has it under the seat so the wiring looms are different. |

My friend Gavin did exactly that - I'll see if he has any words of wisdom to offer |

Gavin's thoughts : ' I had to change the wiring loom in the end, which I did not at first, and had load of electrical gremlins (shorts) it was to do with the thickness of the wiring loom around the the steering head it was ok at first? changed it about 3 years ago, and had no prob's since.' This ties in with the conversation I had with Maz yesterday on the same subject. Good luck with the conversion |

Look like S3 bars. A bit too much but I think a GSXR with renthals and a cut fairing would be the best tourer ever, just bring your credit card for motels and a tank bag and kriega RS20 for clothes |
