Just taken my Uly for its annual service to WCHD in Glasgow - I know, but the bike is still in warranty (just). It went in running ok - I have a special o.p.s zorst & K&N filter. When I started it on picking it up, it ran rather lumpily, slowed, sped up, slowed then spluttered to a stop. Mechanic came out and muttered about fuelling being 107% and it should have been 100% - he had adjusted it accordingly - he then fiddled around near the lh scoop with an allen key which seemed to increase the tickover. Rode home to Dumfries, driving thru' the town the engine wouldn't tick over at less than 2k revs - now it's cold it's back to 1-1.2k but really lumpy. Now I ain't no mechanic but it doesn't sound or feel to good - I have searched and can't see any archived topics - but hey I'm a bloke and unless it's got a big label I won't see it. Abuse/Advice awaited with eager anticipation. PS I know :maz: - it's my fault for having an XB :ner:

Take it back. Service not done to the correct standard.

No abuse for having an XB but West Coast Harley?! Sheesh! :headbang:

It's a nice run from Dumfries to Glaski, take it back and kick off when the shops full , the thick b@$terds. It was running ok before them monkeys in the back messed it up, yes?

I will be passing end of Sep, ride up and down the A75 on the morning of the last Monday in September so I see you :yup:

get the beast back and kick off big time - one assumes you don't plan using them in the future, so enjoy yourself, take friends, take a video.......

I wouldn't stop there: local press and television...

If they are difficlult the thought that you and a few mates might hang about, on the public roadway outside the business and tell everybody who arrives how badly they serviced your bike every Saturday for a month or two will make them pay attention.

Ypu could try my bro's method, he recently bought a car from a dealer that failed to honour his word but did after my bro sat outside sharpening his chain saw in front of customers. Worked a treat.

UPDATE: Phoned WCHD at 9.01am who couldn't have been more apologetic and asked me when I could take the bike in - so took it up today - v nice run shame about the bag of spanners I had for an engine - what was that yellow thing in the sky? They plugged it in and the computer crashed - apparently it then crashed 5 more times - they reckon it didn't fully do whatever it does yesterday - but didn't crash - anyhow the beastie is now running well good. In fact I'd go as far as to tempt fate and say it's running better than it did before :yup: - so hats off to WCHD
