Not sure if this is common knowledge but was a surprise to me when I tried to book my Xb12 in for a service at BB and told that they won't be taking on Buell's for service or repairs going forward. Reason was access to parts and increasing number of complex repairs.

Given this was one of the two places most frequently recommended on the forum it feels like this is a significant step.

Nick, I think you'll find that the end started in 2002... ;)
And the end of the future started in 2010... lOl

So, this week I fitted 2 pairs of rear isolators to 2 X1's, which leaves me with 4 in stock.......I charged them out at cost which is £20.10 each.
Just called Riders to order another 8 for stock.......the left hand is NLA but vintage parts have 600 in stock.......the right hand is still available but now costs £114.28 :headbang:

I'm more gutted than anyone else to see this :( There was talk about it a couple of months ago but they then decided to continue with regular servicing but nothing that involved fault diagnosis and fixing faults. I know that Jon's not happy about it having a real enthusiasm for the brand and built BB's reputation but he's also a damned good H-D technician.

I'm working to encourage all EBR dealerships to support existing Buell owners and you'll certainly find knowledge and enthusiasm at Krazy Horse and Thor Motorcycles. Then we have the independents. Maz is obviously totally Buell focussed with a wealth of knowledge and experience but there are others who may not have his engineering prowess but are skilled technicians with genuine enthusiasm. In my area we have Northants V-Twin who are well known to many and eat, sleep and breathe Buells. We also have Steve at Maulden Motorcycles who is an H-D trained master technician with a load of Buell experience and our very own TTT works at Lightning Services in the West who I understand are also very supportive.

Let's hope Krazy Horse will accomadate us, :worthy: it is rather worrying to see that parts as important as isolators are becoming hard to find. :?
The tube framed bikes I would think won't be as worse off as the XB bikes, being as the XB's have more Buell only parts.
Maybe as I do the majority of miles on the XB it's time for it to go!
