As i'm new to a buell ,couldn't believe how hot the frame tank got (1125r).
Parked the bike for the night and was convinced the fuel was boiling in the tank with the latent heat from the engine.

I take it this is normal.

Hi Solo,

I am told that the sound you are hearing is the slow release of the fuel preasure built up in the system when the engine is shut down, not the fuell boiling.
This is quite normal and is designed this way.

Thanks for that. I must have spent about 15 mins before i was happy to leave the bike. I had the filler cap off to relieve pressure , ear to the frame etc trying to trace the gurgling.
If it goes up in flames i'll blame you :shut:

 Didn't someone (Adam?) say that the later/latest models have a heat blanket or shield to reduce this?

The latest ECU flash keeps the engine temp down as well.

I've noticed quite a few drips coming from the fuel breather near the left pillion peg (1125CR). It's only when the weather is hothothot, so I guess this is normal. Costing me about 15p extra to ride in this lovely sun - think I'll just use it as a winter hack instead ;) and save a few pence... NOT!
