Got the 1125R back from Mark at Twiggers Moto Guzzi of Loughborough today and it was a joy to be back in the saddle again. Mark has fabed up a crank locking tool and is happy to work on these though he did mention threading the stator wires was a pain in the arse.

Spent £150 on uprated stator, £10 on gasket, £75 to get rotor drilled and Twiggers charged me £126 to carry out all the work.

Really happy that what I thought would be a really expensive fix when I looked at kit price from TM of€771 plus labour.

Instead of the £1000 I had expected, I ended up sorting it out for just £361.

Did you drill the rotor?

Ricks stator on second attempt as first one went missing in the post before it reached the UK. Rotor drilled by Paul @ Demeanor Customs who used to do them for Black Bear. I have just done the Harley harness unfix as well.

What is this all about?

Keep us up on how this works out over time and miles.

I looked on EBR's reinstated website and didn't see the stator mod offered anymore.

I'm sure the drilled rotor mod was showing on there when I looked.

Harley harness removed as not needed with rotor mod and removed the noid while I was at it and popped in resistor.

Just a quick update on fix a year on ...

Bike runs like a dream and has done since the fix. Charges at 14.3 and the battery never drops below 14.1 so never have to worry about it starting first touch.

I couldn't be happier with the bike!
