Hi all, is anyone interested in sharing the cost of getting their Buell delivered up to Maz to be sorted ? I have been quoted £174 up to Maz and £162 to pick it up and deliver it back home , from A2B bike transport , which has been recommended by various members. I live near Rochester in Kent but I'm sure it would'nt be much more to pick up and deliver to separate addresses , although I hav'nt contacted them again to confirm this, this would still be cheaper than doing it solo . I also hav'nt contacted the man himself about booking it in because I was gonna check if any one else is interested in the delivery .Or hiring a van and doing it ourselves . prices start from about £88. per day plus fuel , so about £180 plus about £120 in fuel , but not sure if the difference in price is worth sitting on the motorway for ! Is anyone going to the MCN Excel bike show next sunday (14th) ? praps meet up for coffee etc Cheers Jeff |

What ever happened to the days of trailering bikes around? Trailer it up, then get a lift when fixed and ride it back... |

I was looking at getting my father-in-law to use his car, and hire a trailer, go down and get it. But by the time you have the cost of fuel, stopping for lunch somewhere, trailer hire, 8 hours out of our time, it was going to be about £120. So instead I used shiply to find someone to bring it to me at a time to suit me. £180 and he picked it up when my dad got home from work at 7pm and delivered it to me that night when I got home from work at half 10. |
