Probly in the wrong area again

Just had the S1 serviced by Maz
10 000 mile service
As usual he did an excellent job as well as pulling my pants down and makin me spend extra.
Cos my bikes dog shit haha.
Ok it did need them extra bits.
Billet engine mount
X1 Showa forks ( which I had )instead of the original White power forks ( which I though we're good )
All serviced and fitted to my weight
Oil gear drive which apparently was an upgrade back in the day.
Maz suggested that I change that. The original was nearly worn out. Could of been messy inside engine again if it let go.
Have a white power shock on which I bought from Maz 10 years ago.
The mounting bearings were worn err broke.
Mithered to death didn't want to do owt with it to start with cos there's no bits available anymore
After I made him 2 coffees n a roll up he reluctantly agreed to have a look if he could be bothered.
Good as new now
New gaskets to the rocker box heads
Starter button would not work so I had a piece of wire from the ignition to touch on the battery to start ( I quite liked this ) Maz didn't. Don't understand him sometimes.
I call it character
Other numerous wiring switch related stuff sorted and Probly stuff that I can't remember that he won't tell me cos I'm a numpty
Ethel is back up to full speed ( not long now )
Maz A big thank you
I'll bring her back in another few thousand miles to give me some more stick over.
Ps. If you go to the Empoium and make a coffee don't stir your drink with the spoon from the sugar jar
He hits the rev limiter
All the best Rik

Nice write up Rik, I was also guilty of the misuse of spoon offence ..Maybe Maz should install some standard ops instructions to alleviate this issue , perhaps fixed to wall by sink... :couch:

Common sense and good manners say you don't stir your brew with the sugar jar spoon

.....Maz never forgets when you've been a twat with the tea spoon. It doesn't mean you have to stop doing it though lOl

This sugar spoon thread lOl has given me some very fond memories .. My mother had a fancy sugar spoon, quite small, bit like a souvenir spoon with a emblem on it i think, or maybe a seaside town from a holiday..But what i remember the most was the granite like tea stained lumps stuck to it, caused through misuse...We would attempt to remove the rock sugar with our teeth or thumbs, this could lead to injury or tooth damage...With this in mind, maybe we should respect the sugar spoon and use it only for its intended purpose. .Adding sugar to your drink but never, ever, get it wet... :worthy:

But is it OK to use the other end to dig a bit of ear wax out?

It really pisses me off when folks use the sugar spoon to stir! Or if they put it down after stirring and leave a sticky coffee spot
Rinse it under tap, dry it off, and put it away! FFS!

That's why they invented a dish to place the cup on!
And place a cup with a couple more spoons on the table ,easy enough ffs :headbang:

What's this sugar in tea about? Is it a Norvern fing? No wonder you all die so young up there, it's not the coal dust, it's the bleedin' sugar... :ner:
