Picked my 2014 bolt up a week ago, done a few hundred miles and this is what I think.

Lumpy round town and at low revs, bit Snatchy on the throttle
Build quality average and some of the plastics getting snappy
Pulls like a train
Handles like its on rails
Thinking about a steering damper
Full service ASAP.
Oddly comfortable. I'm 5'7 and it fits like a glove.
Lights are shit. Ordered new ones from Harley Chesterfield.

What else can/should I do to it?

Next time you order from a dealer, try Riders in Bristol, you get a decent discount there. Every little helps.....

Fit a Free Spirits belt tensioner to help the belt, wheel and output shaft bearings, fit a grease port to the output shaft (Maz Nipple Mod).

Looking at the mod. Got a tensioner on it. Not sure what type. How do I find out?

Standard one is fixed. Free Spirits one is sprung.

Was wondering if it was worth fitting one Pash? Seen a few with dampers on, not had one on any of my other bikes though.

What do you wish to acheive by bolting a damper on? If you think it'll look cool, go right ahead. What it will actually do is slow down the steering and remove some of the feeling that you get from the front end of the bike, it'll also add useless weight. Buells have never really been known to need any calmingdown in the steering dept.

I've done a few trackdays on a xb12r, been to the edge of the tyres, flat out down straights etc and it never shook it's head once. Tyre pressures need to be right for the ride and rider though.....
