Just wondering if tilting my bike away from the sidestand when parked up, for instance against a wall, will actually get the gearbox oil into the final drive bearing? Been doing this on my S1 for a few years as it's convenient to park it like that. Haven't got a grease nipple mod on my XB yet.
Does anybody know how much lean would be needed to get the level of the oil up to the bearing, would it actually lubricate the bearing or am I deluded (again!)

I think in theory it should help. I know leaving them on the side stand for ages isn't ideal :oooops:

Someone had made a stand from a piece of wood so that the buell could lean to the right side.

If im correct ,it was someone from this forum! :|

Mine gets 'parked' in a front wheel clam so it stays upright when not in use.

Certain military motorcycles had a right hand side stand, but not for lubing purposes
