when i got my 'bolt it had the "won't start with side stand down" fault and the "neutral light constantly on" fault. Changed the diodes this way that way light still on. changed my grips the other night and now i have a whole new problem, the "won't start at all fault". I turn the key, the needles sweep left to right, no neutral light now or engine check light thingymajig. Kick side stand up, even pull the clutch, nothing. No sound of priming, not a click of starter starting, nothing. Battery is fully charged, headlight comes on dash lights up, but thats me lot. So its going into the local shop, he can service and mot it after he's got it running and he can look at fixing the so called easy starter/side stand and neutral light probs. Just as we get some dry f-ing weather too!!! |

I wouldn't take it anywhere else. Your not really having woes, that would be your crank breaking or your gearbox falling to bits, a visit to Maz and a few quid and your problems are over, easy. Andy |

Have a good look yourself at the ignition lock ,maybe a broken wire!? |

wiggle the handle bars with the ignition "ON".. Bolts are prone to breaking the wires in the ignition switch. might be a simple wire break. |

Gonna let the local guy sort the starting as it'll be a "loose wire" i reckon, i only rode Friday so i reckon my tugging n thrusting with the grips just knacked it up a touch. He can do the MOT too while its there, he's a "reasonable" tester Plus he actually lives round the corner from me and offered to pick it up in his van on the way home one night this week and take it in with him for free. Then ill sort a trip to Maz for the rest |

Then ill sort a trip to Maz for the rest Hi, I have to say that that is a bad call. If you intend to "Maz it" then don't let anyone else touch it beforehand (unless you need the MOT to ride to Maz's place). If you can, just let Maz do the lot rather than risking your local (presumably not a Buell expert) getting his hands into it first. Just my opinion, Dave |
