£415 for a £10K service is cheaper than you would pay for the Buell equivalent (if done correctly!)

honda charge £850 plus for a shim service on a vfr800 vetc so dont feel to bad about buell servicing 8-)
and a 10.000 service on a hd sportster has no fork oil change so £400 plus is a bit :ill:

Depends how you look at it. Aircooled Buells have no valve-clearances, VTEC or fueling-synchronisation to look after, run on cheap oil and plugs, and don't perform anywhere near the level of a VFR, yet cost a fortune to service too.
Also major services on VFRs are only every 16 or 24k, depending which year/version you have. Plenty of Buells don't even reach that mileage on a single engine and gearbox

agree, a jap bike will just go on and on and will cost less to run than a buell long term.
i have allways said for a buell each hour on the road means 15 mins in work shop.
(imo) a buell has and allways will be a bike for the person who can do all there own servicing and repairs.
life is full of choices and now days we do not need motorcycles as they cost more to run than cars now (not like the old days), we want them for fun so if you cant take a joke dont buy a buell. :yup:
