Every time I start my XB9, press the button, nothing for about a second then the starter turns and it fires instantly. The clock resets to 1:00, and once I noticed it do the speedo revcounter needle sweep thing.

Is this a sign of a dying starter, a dying battery (original 2005 OEM battery) or something else? I've had the battery sat on the optimate until it's fully charged.

On the other hand Maz, his bike could be really fast and keep up with the rotation of the earth ! Remember to keep the RPM to below 7001 or you may look like a solar flare. :old:

I've used Tayna for batteries for a fair few of my cars and vans, always found their enduroline and powerline ranges to offer very good performance for the money.

Found this 210 CCA unit for just over £40 delivered.

Best price for the heavy duty (240CCA) yuasa YTX-14H was £67 online, tried Halfords which have it for £73, then realised I could register my trade card which brought it down to £58.40.

Hi, that's an ok price for the yuasa YTX-14H, I use this MotoBatt MBYZ16HD, probably much of a muchness, also about the £56 mark. Much more and it will become a F Fin Prius :!: , or at the weight a milk float. :yup:
Maz is a man of few words on description but seems to get the point across :rotfl:
