Can anyone offer any opinion regarding puncture preventative sealant....gloop, slime or bike seal ?..... I know some are only useful with a short life of a year or so..... any preferences or would a roadside puncture repair kit with inflation canister be a better option? |

I stalked dozens of threads in forums, advice pages and review sites... I came away with this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gear-Gremlin-G ... 6W9DD9S9DM With a pack of extra canisters. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gear-Gremlin-G ... F1VS9JVRFH Haven't had to use it yet but from what I've read (on here also) I am confident. More confident than I am with the old foam cans we used to roll around with years ago. Bloody things either sprung a leak in the tool kit or failed at the finishing line ![]() |

Only used the mushroom type https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-P ... SwAWlaVIZs Tried it at home in the garage and it worked for two punctures in a new tyre ![]() If the tyre looses pressure they can be pushed in easily. The air canisters to reinflate need a bit of practice and you may need a few to get some tyre pressure back. |

Did go with Puncture Safe (https://www.puncturesafe.com/) for a few years which was available at my local fitter. No issues with it personally and I'm sure it saved me a few times. Downside is it stinks and the same tyre fitters hate it when it comes to tyre change time. Can also corrode the inside of the wheel over time. I've not bothered with it for my latest set (with freshly painted wheels) so have invested in the same Stop n Go kit (as in Topgumm's link). Already had cause to use that on Anna's Yamaha and was dead easy to use. |

From the last post I think Maz doesn't like squirty cream, he isn't a great fan of fitting or removing Bridgestones either so I have heard. perhaps it should carry a Maz health warning ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Check out Dynaplugs. They're excellent, easy to fit and the kit is tiny ![]() |

Give him your 35 year old desert bike tyres to change on bollocksed wheels and you'll get a genuine whinge going on, lol. I actually don't recommend that by the way. Andy |
