This may seem like a daft question to some of you ,but I want to know why do some Ulysses have a small round engine cover and some have a large oval cover, is it something to do with having a thunderstorm engine Vs standard. Which is the best model year to look for in the Ulysses please. |

the round one is the earlier type oval the later "thunder storm" type they are getting hard to find ,good luck |

A wise old man told me the round ones are better as the ovals came out when emission controls were stricter. Round = more power. Something like that anyway. I have read that the oval engines have larger crank pins too. Both engines are Thunderstorm. |
