Sounds weird I know but first I've seen round my way (Matlock) for more than a year. A guy pulled into the A6 layby en route to Matlock Bath (like me he wasn't going there). He was probably feeling the same as me (alone), as he just came in, parked & stood on his own like I had done, no fucker seems to talk to me since I got another Buell. Fortunately the fact he was on a Buell 25th Aniversary Ulysses I got talking to him really easily. Anyway he was a guy called Paul from Alfreton just down the road from me, I was so glad to be talking to another Buell owner I forgot to get his flippin' details. He said he has been on this site before but not recently. I was telling him about all the help I've had from people on here so perhaps he'll take another look. I think some bikers don't talk to us because they are possibly out of their depth, as anyone mad enough to buy one of 'those' weird bikes in spite of everything they read in the press, and all the crap they hear down at their local bike meet .... must be a challenge to their familiar world of.....whatever!? Always look supremely confident that your Buell IS the dogs, whatever other machines are around. Bound to mess with some heads?

It is the dogs bollox as far as I'm concerned, there are very few bikes that stand out like Buells as very, very, different. People who haven't experienced the thrill of riding one can F**k right off. |
