OK guys I've got a chance of an S3 hopefully pretty cheap but needs a bit of tlc. I think it's a 1997 but not got the details yet.
So what's the difference between an S1 and S3 apart from the bodywork?

IIRC the S1 is a sporty single rider "canyon carver" as them Americans say
with a slim seat (read tiny)

where as the S3 is more a tourer bigger seat for two people... :askmaz:

Horses for course , each to their own .
just make sure that the "but needs a bit of tlc" parts are still available at an affordable price  otherwise the TLC could cost more that the bike :coat:

There are some good looking S1 conversions made with a S3
Everyone probably knows Joesbuell S3 to S1 build on badweatherbikers
