Post subject:  The new (not Buell) bike

Hi there. This is my 2020 BMW F900XR TE that I purchased back in March to replace my 16 year old Buell XB12X. Spot the resemblance! Promised a write up so apologies for delay. Bike came with the BMW topcase but have added Shad 3P panniers. Other extras added include wunderlich phone charge mount, ultimate add-ons phone holder, mudguard and hugger extenders and BMW comfort seat.
Put on an extra couple of thousand miles now and very happy, still has an air of exclusivity and gets a thumbs up from the missus too.
Still getting used to having to twist the throttle more for go in comparison to the Buell, you notice the weight distribution difference too and the rattling/creaking plastics. Saddle will never match the Buell in terms of comfort or room but living with it. Clutch is lighter but grabby when cold so care needed. Prefer riding with the screen in the lower position. Like how satnav directions displayed on the main TFT screen and the menu navigation becomes quite 2nd nature. Also like the electronic preload adjustment.

:yup:
A friend of a friend has got one down here , small world , he did say, that there is a fault on the 2020 model , clutch being a bit of a switch ( his words ) or yours ( grabby when cold) anyway BMW apparently know of the fault and anyone having problems with the clutch can get it fixed under warranty .
another thing he did mention, that he found out the hard way :headbang: , garage/ petrol station tyre inflators don’t work ,they let more air out than in :o , you need to use an adaptor / extension on the valve . :yup:
