I'd like to do a primary oil change so need a way to hold the bike upright. I've got an old paddock stand with cups, but it's no good for the Uly's swingarm, so looking for an alternative which I can use for oil changes, tyre changes, etc. I've read about the wooden block and jack, but presumably you need something else to stabilise the thing and keep it upright.

Which stands / method do you use for doing work on your XB?

I am the wooden block and jack bloke!!!

You jack it whilst it is on the side stand. Jack at the rear of pipe to raise the back wheel and the front for the front wheel.

It is very steady and does not need anything else IMO

all the best
