Not much traffic here but i try anyway!
Bought FS tensioner to my 2002 X1. The instructions leave a bit desired but after some creative thinking it is there. What i would like to know is how tight the belt should be now with the tensioner, nothing mentioned on the instructions.

I believe the FS belt tensioner is designed for the XB series, it was never needed or fitted to tube framed bikes, the belt is best run a little ( scarily) slack.

This is made for tubers, it is not spring loaded as the XB tensioner. Seen it recommended here by the "gurus" so thought best to have one!

No !
The tuber belt stays a constant throughout travel
The XB series don't
so yes for XB
No for tubers
Look at the pivot points
of the rear wheel & the output spindle

Probably not neccessary to have on a X1 then but now it is there. The question still is the tightness of the belt?
