Unless some one can convince me otherwise my two and a half year relationship with my 54 plated XB9 cityX is about to come to an end. I am seriously considering a slightly older lady from Meridan (Triumph Sprint ST 2001).
My reasoning is simple, I am doing more miles now and seam to be doing more of them 2 up. I want to ride in all weathers and the XB seams to dissolve quicker than most. The XB has done 9800 miles now and I am getting paranoid.
So, convince me otherwise!
I have been offered what amounts to a straight swap.

O Bollox!!! I was hoping I had got it wrong. I love the little tart but she is so high maintenance!
I will sleep on it till monday.
(the idea of changing that is, the XB seat is not big enough to sleep on) :D

Still here but only just.
I went for a good blast on the XB to try and make my mind up. I have come to the conclussion that there is no point in comparing the Hinckley Tart and the XB as they are so different and to be honest it is not the bike thats wrong but the use I am now putting it to has changed.
If only i could have both!!!!

x2.

Go with an older Trumpet if required, but go with 2 bikes for sure. 8-) You say that they are different bikes for different uses, so have them both.

From many years of experience, I recommend it without any reservations. :yup:

(I'd also recommend a Fazer over the Triumph. More of everything I think you are looking for in your second bike. ;) )

A good idea to have 2 bikes if you can. Insurance doesn't cost much more on a multi bike policy. If you are commuting a lot consider something sensible like a fazer. I had one for 4 years with no problems except a rotten exhaust. That way the buell is kept for fun. I run a bmw f800 now, boring but good for the daily grind all year round.
