I'm looking for some help, is it common to snap a drive belt after 10k? i've got a 55 plate uly. where do you get a replacement and is there an uprated 1 if they only last that long. Cheers David |

oh, i only bought the bike in may and they gave me a year warranty with it, will that cover the belt? i was lead to believe by the guy at HD they last at least 30k |

at one point they were advertised as 'lifetime guarantee' not sure how they stand on this now |

Thanks, i'll phone HD tomorrow and see what they have to say. They aren't the best to deal with as i've already had problems with them already. |

2006 brochure says the belt is "Low Maintenance" 2007 brochure says "Zero Maintenance. The Hibrex belt never needs lubrication or replacement. It's rated to last the entire life of the motorcycle. And because the idler pulley keeps tension constant, there is no need to adjust the belt" No mention of warranty... It may be rated, but how can Buell account for stones getting into the belt (if you look at the teeth on your sprocket, I bet you will find indentations where a stone has had a ride on the inside of the belt)? I do wish you good luck though, cos I think they ought to be replaced under warranty, after all, I don't want to pay for a new one when mine goes...
