I fancy fabricating a small rack / grab rail for my Lightning Long. I know that Ventura do one but I'm a tight shite and I'll save meself a few quid if I can knock one up.
Can anyone tell me where / how the 'L brackets' pick up off the rear subframe? A short description / drawing/ photo -anyyhing, would be gratefully received.

i dont know if the ss 'long' has the sasme mounts as my 's', but the 2 rear mounts are just flat plate welded to the tube on the ventura brackets. the 2 screws the hold the undertray onto the tailpiece are removed and replaced with bolts (1/4" x 1 1/4" long). the screws hold the lock catch in place and were akward to get back in. i used longer bolts fron inside, and nuts underneath, then just bolt the rack in place when i need it
