;) Removal is easy - putting it back together..... that's harder :!:

I'll do one, next time my belt snaps. Hopefully in a few years' time, at least. ;)

* Torxschrauben, Stoßdämpferschraube und hintere Tiebar lösen. (Bei X1: Schrauben der Rahmenplatte lösen, hierzu weiter unten noch ein Tipp)
* Motorrad irgendwo aufhängen.
* Hinterrad, Radabdeckungen und Bremse demontieren.
* Motor hinten sicher abstützen.
* Stoßdämpfer an Schwinge abbauen.
* Tiebar am Schwingenbock oder Rahmen ganz demontieren.
* Torxschrauben entfernen
* Rahmendreieck rechts entfernen.
* Schwingengummis entnehmen.
* Inbusschraube in rechter Lagerhülse (sitzt "im" Gewinde der rechten Torxschraube) lösen und entfernen.
* Klemmschrauben der Lagerhülsen (Schwingenbock hinten) lösen.
* Lagerhülsen rausziehen (am Besten mit einer der Torxschrauben), Schwinge dabei sichern und nach hinten entnehmen.

I'm sure, someone will translate that to understandable English.

I'll have a shot (someone correct the technicalities, I can translate German words into English words but I still don't have a clue what they mean :lol: )

* Loosen the torx screw, shock absorber screw and rear tiebar. (With X1: loosen the frame plate, see below for more)
* Suspend motorcycle.
* Dismantle rear wheel, wheel covers and brake.
* Firmly support rear of engine.
* Shorten shock absorbers.
* Dismantle tiebar at the rear support or framework.
* Remove torx screws.
* Remove right-hand framework triangle (X1 only, I guess)
* Remove rocker rubbers.
* Loosen and remove socket-head cap screw in right bearing sleeve (sits " in" threads of the right torx screws).
* Loosen clamping screws of the bearing sleeves (support rear of rocker).
* Pull out bearing sleeves (preferably the one with the torx screw), leaving the rocker secure and remove to the rear.

:ill:

Forgot to say it's an M2 frame so don't have the luxury of the frame plate

Has anyone fitted bobbins to the swingarm of the alloy type swingers ?

And, I would like to see a 'how to' strip down and reassemble xb forks with some handy DIY tips for those of us without special tools, the manual is vague to say the least. :? Any takers?

Have just done my Yam SRX legs for about the third time, but they are very basic and old right way up style!

And I want a "How To" for doing long controlled wheelies...

I can do a How To for S1 forks, but they have no pre-load adjuster...

Thanks anyway pash. I would guess that the pre-load adjuster just unscrews until it goes 'PING', and hits the garage roof!

p.s. if this reply appears 3 times it's because the smilies have rejected this 3 times! lol!
