Front forks strip and rebuild, bearings replaced, etc etc

Tough to say without looking at your bike, your riding style, the roads you use, your size and weight etc but Yes, it needs it. IMO.

spend £60 on a workshop manual and do it yourself

oh and £40 on a parts manual and buy parts from jersey HD now that Maz has stopped postal service

I would agree Bonz
The only bearings I have not changed yet are the swinging arm ones, they will be next

Shouldn't be any difference in price between Jersey and UK as there is no VAT on books.

Well I will also have to do the 20k on the CityX soon.

Think I've got my addled mind around the workshop manual descriptions, but can anyone tell me if I will be able to compress the fork springs by hand to refit the fork caps? :?
