The stock indicators are nasty ugly rounded things that don't suit the bike.
And the mirrors, whilst being reasonably useful, just remind me of Mickey Mouse, so they've got to go.

Can anyone suggest alternatives that are a mix of form and function? :)

CRG bar end mirrors.
Very well made and you see a lot more than the standard ones.

I was waiting on that.

Seriously the standard mirrors are rubbish and I couldn't see what was behind me because they vibrate so much.
Since fitting the CRG mirrors they are rock steady and can see what's behind me much better.
I know there not everyones cup of tea but then if we all liked the same then everyones bike would be the same.
I have never changed the standard mirrors on a bike before as I always believed the standard mirrors gave the best view but the ones on a Buell are pants.
Good mirrors can save your life.

Just out of interest with the bar end mirrors don't you find you have to look down to see them whereas the standard ones are in your peripheral vision all the time?
I've always found standard ones ok on the X1 but while out today noticed that if I had bar end ones I'd have to actually move my head to look at them.............just a thought that that alone could make you less aware of what's behind you ;)

while were on subject of stupid looking mirrors/indicators, 1125 are about the worst looking ever fitted to a bike imo ;)
