Dont know if anyone already knows about this but Newcastle Harley Davidson are selling brand new '09 1125r's and probable CR's for only £5995.

Wish I could afford to run 2 bikes

Ah but you can: it doesn't cost that much more than running one...if you can afford to buy the second bike.

Yep, it doesn't cost that much more to run extra bikes - enquire with your insurer about a multi-bike policy.

Just remember that you ideally want to ride each bike regularly and do the "essential" maintenance ( oil changes etc ).

The worst expense is the extra road tax

Another pain is storing them all - you can't swing a cat in my garage !

I have been thinking about getting a CR to complement my R - just wish that they had put a proper dual seat on it instead of the R rear.

You can buy a new 1125R for a grand less and Sycamore are selling 1125R with fairing lowers for £5995 and Crs for £5495.
Isn't great how Buell kick their full price buyers right between the legs

I think those 1125Rs for a grand less are 08s with all the recalls done ;)

That is a good deal; a lot of bike for much less than I paid for one, it may infact be cheaper to trade in my 1125R for a new but unused with two years warranty than the one soon to be out of same, :yup:

Many of us here run 2 bikes because they can't afford to only have the 1 Buell

6k is great value for bikes like that. I sat on the CR but these things are just too cramped on leg-room when you're over 6"5. Funny how people get taller while bikes get smaller :(

the drop in price - a reflection of the lack of sales/overstocking or the recession?
either way it will have dropped the resale value of my 1125R so Newcastle dealer can go and do one

Chop their hand off, that's an excellent price. The best I could get for my 1125 against a Ducati was £3.5k - so I kept it

Have done Adam. I like the R but fed up with aftersales service. I can cope with problems if they get sorted by the dealer.
