The real issue going forward is servicing of our machines. Not sure about the HD dealers which i never use. However lets all hope that the excellent independent spanner men like Maz keep up the good work, keep the Buells on the road and our dream alive.
Start buying the parts up lads!

This thread makes me wonder. What service items would be worth stocking-up on? ie. which are likely to be most threatened?

I don't think you will need to stock up on anything.
I think there is a legal requirment to supply parts for 10 years anyway.

Panic yeh not....yet! lest you start a buying panic and cause a shortage, or profiteering by suppliers. :?

Buell production is said to stop in mid December. Warranties will be honoured and spares will be supplied for 10 years. :)

One dealer told me they are confident enough to have ordered another whole batch of new bikes....so they say!

Depending on ones point of view, production of my particular XB stopped in 07.
My main concern is the specialised nature of the XB line, frequency of bearing and seal changes, and non interchangeable parts. Yep should have bought that tuber in 2000. However, we are surely we are some way off from having to make group orders of specialised parts production?

By the way Maz, I was 50 last week so no complaints......they tell me life gets easier now.
