In my toolkit, neatly threaded over the screwdriver thing is a thing that looks like a pipe union with a circlip thing pushed into the central annular groove. It has a hex each end but the inner bore is smooth, what is it please? |

Patkin, as I've said before - wrap your tool kit in plastic to protect it, the area under the seat isn't very watertight ( ie not at all ) - nobody wants rusty tools !

Thanks guys, didnt look down there, all makes sense now. Thanks for the advice to keep it in a plastic bag. My inner tray holds water, I was thinking of drilling a wee hole on the LH side to communicate the after most tray (with the toolkit in it) to the section forward of it so that water will drain fwd when parked on the side stand. |

Most of the water gets in from where the number plate holder bolts to the tail - I was going to put some sealant in to fill it in but could not find mine when I wanted to do it - used some double sided tape instead - seems to be keeping the water out ! |

The white ones are already lighter due to having less pigment in the plastics than the red and black ones
