So! Has anyone experienced this or know of anyone who has?

I'm taking the bike to Leeds HD tomorrow as even if they throw warranty claim in my face, I think it should be reported.

Part is £96.50 from Jersey HD.

Only ever had a pillion on about 10 times in entire ownership. I do use the standard Buell Hepco & Becker topbox but that is very rarely overloaded, 5 kilos is a bit mean anyway, never more than 10 kilos in there.
