Thought I'd better post something here as we've had quite an influx of new 1125 owners recently.

There is a thread running on BadWeb at the moment ( + made a comment about coolant leakage ) - it appears that these bikes are shipped with minimum fluid levels and a lot of them are being ridden away from the dealer with no coolant in their expansion tanks.

Check your coolant level people - don't rely on the owners manual method - the visual siting idea is crap - take your right hand pod cover off and check it properly !

You have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never EVER, EVER ride off on anything without being sure all is right. Trust me I have seen the results before. Not good.

I cant even see the fluid when it is at the correct level through the little inspection window, always need to take the cover off.

I was hoping that would comment, especially as he has his own to check ! I wouldn't be surprised if it gets overlooked in a PDI ...

I did my own PDI.......coolant was fine, engine needed 1/2 L oil

No way...Manchester HDB did exactly what I asked of them......IMHO they're the UK's best Buell dealership

Looking like I might have a free afternoon tomorrow ?......thought I would see how long it takes to change the front spark plug

the inspection window is useless, it only takes 6 torx screws to take off the right hand pod

Very interested to know the result of this. Would you be so kind as to put into your conclusion what the cost would therefore be to the punter.

Mad idea, but you could ride it...........

None in mine and the rad was not even full... Only serviced 4 miles ago...

Not convinced it was £250 well spent...
