Looking again at replacing my 2008 XT exhaust...Maybe a Termignoni or similar and use the Buell >07 headers with a remap ECU..
I need some advice as to what fits! Are XB9 exhausts interchangeble with the XB12?
Do I need to buy a can with the internal valve or without?

I don't think that you will find an aftermarket exhaust with an active exhaust valve.

Most aftermarket exhausts fit 9s or 12s - although best to check first before buying, but usually the part numbers will be the same.

Termignoni does.
Different from the Buell one as it is in the link pipe between headers and exhaust can, not rerouting the gas inside the can. Not actually sure what it does?

I may have a Termi for pre-08 bikes up for sale soon. Can is sound, but had to have some of the mounting hardware welded to get it solid. So, it'll be cheap. PM me.
