And then we had another run at it, we were actually supposed to have a water-cooled bike out by 1998, but that became the motor, Harley Davidson decided to take the motor and changed it into a cruiser motor and that became the V-Rod. But it actually started out as our engine. We were trying to get a water-cooled bike. It was actually scheduled to launch, it was ready to launch in Europe in ’98.

hmm, so my 2010CR is actually a classic bike? lol

good interview, but i think he is be a bit nice toward HD, although if in the future HD do bring Buell back maybe he wants the chance to be involved.

He's a good guy who talks sense and it's the nature of the man not to burn his bridges. He could not have got as far as he did without them but they had to do something to get try to get out of mire they're in. In the long term though I believe they have severed their link to survival.

thats right, and whats more Erik is a professional and bad mouthing anyone never looks good. HD gave Buell 26 years & probably would of given them another 25 if they had made a profit - I'm not sure about that actually - was there ever any profit generated by Buell ? - I am not happy with HD but understand that the recession in the USA was a major fcuk up for yank industries.
