But after half mile lights go out and all is well again . Is this just buell in could British weather it's 2009 bike so should have new e.c.u so the dealer told me could some light and wisdom be shone on me please .

Hi, glad you posted this.
Mine does exactly the same. I'm fairly sure it's the cold weather confusing the sensors. Don't worry!

Low fuel warning when cold seems quite common. Someone at BrainWashed explained why, but I don't remeber exactly. Had to do with low voltage IIRC.

my 2009 model doesnt cut out or anything but the engine management light does seem to stay on for quite a while b4 going out.I dont now how cold uve been going out in? if like me you are still running in for the 1st 600miles it does seem a bit "tight" at low revs but i think thats preety normal. My dealer told me it has got the latest ecu in it but when it goes in at 600 miles 4 its 1st service they re-flash it to release more power. dont know if you were told the same?

oh yes it does.

Its a IC related fault, I belive, although some have sugested a temp sensor fault.

OK, it doesn't/hasn't done it on my 2008 limited signature edition 1125R.

However, it has done it on my 2010 CR - no problem with the bike running but I've had the fuel and engine management lights come on - it was -2 degrees centigrade at the time ...

The solution to this problem is quite simple.

TAKE IT BACK TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT AND TELL THEM TO FIX IT!!!!

Took my CR out the other day and it ran like a bag of spuds till it got warm - and it took a long while to get warm!
When you twisted the throttle there was no response.
Perhaps it needs it's first service? It has now got about 500 miles on it.

I'm not sure there's a problem to fix. Unless you're talking about the weather. Some H-D dealers are good, but...
