No idea, someone on here will know though.

I'm not a fan of crash bobbins, think they make bikes look ugly and can't see what good they do when you highside at anything over 10mph imho. It's almost like you're preparing for the accident!

I had them on my SRAD.

1) Dropped it u-turning on icy cobbles. No damage. Front brake - oops.
2) Someone reversed their car into the bike when it was parked outside my flat. No damage and I wouldn't have noticed unless I saw the smashed bobbin and mirror out of place.
3) Got hit by a Hyundai Lantra on the front right hand side at about 5 mph - the bobbin punched through her bumper and ripped it off. It also stopped my leg getting crushed.

So, they can help.

There a guy just about to collect his new XB12 and he told me he's bought something similar for the front and back. Costs between £175 - £200 for the kit  But if it saves your bike it's worth it surely?

My Excess is £200, I'd rather pay that and get my bike fixed. Oh and don't call me shirley! ;) (2 min 35 secs)
